Since the inception of the Advanced Computing Research Lab, employees and students have achieved high job placement in their respective fields. They've used the skills they have developed at the Univesity of Maine to advance their career. The following is a list of the ACRL alumni.

Chris Vaughan graduated from UMaine in December of 2005. He is beginning working for Cluster Resources as a technical engineer at the beginning of May '06.

Glen Beane, M.S. Glen is a software engineer at The Jackson Laboratory (www.jax.org:w ) in Bar Harbor, Maine where he specializes in High Performance Computing. Glen is one of the co-designers of the MyPBS system architecture, and has authored much of the Perl back end. Glen is a previous employee of the University of Maine Advanced Computing Research Lab

Eric Wages is the Operations Manager at the COLSA's Hypersonic Missile Technology Research and Operations Center (www.colsa.com), home of the world's largest Apple-based cluster in the world, dubbed MACH5. Eric is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities surrounding operational issues of all high-performance computing resources at the COLSA HMT-ROC, including technical and personnel issues. Eric is a previous employee of the University of Maine Advanced Computing Research Lab where he co-authored MyPBS with Glen Beane. Eric holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine.

Tristan McCann graduated from UMaine in December of 2004. He is working in Portsmouth, NH at Docutron Systems, Inc. where he works with PHP, .NET, and Linux, and he is living is Southern Maine.

Justin Bronder received his M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maine, Orono in the spring of 2006. His thesis focused on an analysis of the AKS Primality Test and parallel implementation. At the ACRL he worked on development of a high-performance memory manager for OS X, MyPBS, and seamless combination of a next generation OS X and Linux Cluster.
