The machine consists of:

• One user gateway (Echelon)
• Three compile nodes (Fawlty, Bender and Kearney2)
• One server for system functions (Echelon) and scheduling
• 256 Apple XServe G5 nodes that run either OS-X of Linux depending on queue demand
• 78 x86 (Intel PIII) nodes that run Linux
• Two file servers with a simple SAN
• Ethernet and Myrinet networks
