NOTP (!P) Project Released

posted on 02-12-2007
Last week, our new Sourceforge project, NOTP (Nick of Time Provisioning) was approved. We have now uploaded the pre-alpha release and are in process of building the documentation, webpage, and doing final testing. NOTP is the system we built that manages the dual operating system environment on the Apple Xserves nodes.

Moab Upgraded

posted on 02-08-2007
As we're making fair use of Moab's job prolog feature to interface with notP, it became prudent to upgrade from the 4.5 series to 5.0. Along with other improvements, the status of a job via 'showq' or 'checkjob' yields more relevant information.

We have changed our name. If you have been to this site before, you may know this as the "Advanced Computing Research Lab (ACRL). So why the name change? Over the course of our existence our role in the university has changes. We started as a research project, but are now the supercomputing resource provider for the University of Maine
