Our preference is that you use email to contact us with any problems. This is preferable as we are not always in our offices to answer phones and we also get a nice record of past problems saved in our inboxes.
To contact us, send your email to the account "noc" at "clusters.umaine.edu". This is a mailing list that all of the admins are members of. (For reference, noc stands for network operations center). Not only do you get to hit all of the admins with one email, but the mailing list also guarantees that we receive your email and keeps all correspondence archived for future reference.
When sending us an email, the following is usually helpful:
- The Job Number
- The hosts you were running on
- A copy of the script you submitted
- Any error messages
In general, the more information you give us, the less likely we'll have to write back and ask for more.
As a final note, be sure to use a different subject and In-Reply-To line per problem. If you stack all of your problems into one thread, we have trouble sorting them
